Pine Lane Crew,
Learning continues at Pine Lane. This week our Kindies had an at-school field trip with Miller Farms. Grade levels are launching into their next unit in language arts, now focusing on character development. Candy wars kicked off in preparation for Fall Festival which is coming soon on October 28th. We already have over 300 pounds!!! Last week, our Discovery Classes led our first Habit of Character Assembly and challenged us to take advantage of every opportunity to be kind. They did a great job! Our SAC/PTO met, too, to discuss our Unified Improvement Plan.
Next week, we are holding parent/teacher conferences. Our teachers are excited to meet with you about your child or children’s progress this first quarter. Our specials team will also be available on both Tuesday and Thursday. They will be in their classrooms at the south building from 4:00 - 6:00 pm and in their classrooms at the north building from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. I’d encourage you all to stop and hear about the amazing things they are doing in our specials classes. Our Bookfair will also be open all next week. We hope you all can pick up some great books.
As we head into the final week before break, please take note of a couple of calendar items. Picture Retakes are Thursday, October 27th. We are excited to have the National Guard coming to visit with a Black Hawk Helicopter on October 28th, and of course, that evening is one of our favorite community events, Fall Festival.
