Community Liaison and Volunteering
Pine Lane PLEA PTO - Parent Teacher Organization
PTO works to form an inclusive sense of community by reaching out to our children, families, staff and local town resources, through the organization of social events, school activities, and fundraising. PLEA PTO will enrich the educational and social experience of our children by providing positive, fun, family-focused opportunities, and events. Volunteers for PLE PTO will act as ambassadors and support the efforts of our teachers and staff, as well as organize and facilitate the PLE PTO events.
SAC - School Advisory Council
The School Accountability Committee (SAC) is responsible for advising principals on budget priorities and the development of school improvement plans. Put another way, SACs act as sounding boards for improvement strategies and how schools and districts spend their money. Another equally important role of SACs is to increase parent and community partnerships.
Parents serving on this committee represent the community at large. Including but not limited to:
- Helping school staff increase parent partnerships with teachers.
- Working to recruit people to serve on the SAC.
- Priorities for spending school funds
- Strategies for School Improvements
- Needs and concerns of the school community
