Pine Lane Crew,
First of all, Happy Veterans’ Day! I want to express my personal gratitude to all those who have served and are serving in our Military. You are all a tremendous example to our Crew of what it means to serve. Thank you for your commitment to defending the freedoms and liberties we all enjoy daily. A big thank you to Ms. Dameron, 2nd grade, and 5th grade for a great performance! Another special thank you to Bravo Company for volunteering their time to connect with all of our students on Wednesday and Thursday and sharing with our students the mission and role of the military and how that supports our society. This had a powerful impact on our Crew!
We are only one week away from Thanksgiving Break! It is hard to believe. We are looking forward to seeing many of you here next Wednesday for our Thanksgiving Feast. On Monday at 5 pm, we also have a special event hosted by our Mental Health Department. We have special guests coming in to share strategies for parents and other adults to help students work through anxiety. This will be held at our North Campus.
After the break, please mark your calendar for November 30th at 4:45 pm. This is our regularly scheduled SAC/PTO meeting. We will also be joined by Sierra’s Principal, Sara Curto, and Chaparral’s Principal, Greg Gotchey. They would like to hear from our Pine Lane families what your hopes for middle school and high school as well as answer any questions that you might be wondering. It will be held in the Innovation Lab at our North building. We hope that many of you will be able to join us for this meeting.
Lastly, I want to encourage you to submit an Apple Award Nomination. Please share with us how our staff has impacted your child’s life. These nominations truly mean a great deal to our teachers. The deadline for these submissions is November 13th; so get those submitted soon. Here is the link to the nomination form: 2023 Pine Lane Apple Award Nominations.
Each day I feel a great deal of gratitude for our entire Crew! Thank you for your continued partnership with us to support your children through their elementary years and perpetuate our mission to empower excellence in character, achievement, and contribution to a better world.
Happy Veteran’s day and have a great weekend!
