Food Allergies

Last item for navigation

Several students in our school have a severe allergy to all nuts and nut products.    As with many children who have this allergy, even contact with another person who is consuming nut products can be of serious consequence.

We are asking that parents keep this allergy in mind when sending a treat to school and that in particular, no treat for sharing be sent with nuts.  Please notify your teacher if you are sending in a treat that may contain these allergens so that prior arrangements can be made for the safety of these children.

A table in the cafeteria has been made available that will be nut-free.  A student may not sit at this table if he/she has a lunch item that contains nuts or nut products.  Please remind your student of this, especially if he or she is bringing such a lunch to school.  Please review the list of different nuts to look for on labels.

Thank you for your help in this very serious matter.

Peanut/Nut-Free Snacks*

*Important: Due to continual changes in manufacturer packaging and processing, please read the ingredient label of your snack chosen from this list to ensure that it does not contain any of the following... peanuts/nuts, peanut/nut butter, peanut/nut oil, peanut/nut flour, peanut/nut meal, or any of the statements "May contain traces of peanut/nuts" or "Manufactured in a facility that also processes peanuts (and/or other nuts)".

Below you will find a list of snacks that are peanut-free at this time. It is always important to read ingredient labels since manufacturers change production methods and labels.
