Transportation

The Douglas County School District (DCSD) is working to restore bus routes for the 2021-2022 school year to levels that were in place prior to the COVID pandemic.

Ideally, bus service would be available to:

  • Elementary students who live more than one mile from their assigned neighborhood school
  • Middle and high school students who live more than two miles from their assigned neighborhood school.

To Check if your student is eligible:

  • Students who are eligible will have a transportation link available at engaged.dcsdk12.org  to request a new bus pass and make your transportation fee choice for the 21/22 school year.
  • If you do not have this link, you may not be eligible for transportation. Please reach out to us via our  "Let's Talk App" to verify this information.

If your child currently has a DCSD bus pass

  • Please hold onto that pass as your student will reuse it next year if applicable.
  • We encourage parents to sign up for SMARTag notifications via the SMARTag Parent Portal

Transportation Fees.

  • The annual billing option of $250.00 is available in Express Check in until September 30, 2021 (Payment needs recieved by that date)
  • If no annual billing is selected, rides will be billed quarterly at $1.00 per ride
  • If your family qualifies for free and reduced this also waives all transportation fees.
