PLE SAC & PTO We Need You!

Pine Lane Crew,

Believe it or not!!! We are in the middle of planning for next school year. We have several parent leadership opportunities that are coming available.

Our School Accountability Committee (SAC) is comprised of a combination of parents/guardians and school staff. The purpose of this committee is to provide me, the Principal, with feedback and guidance on the overall operations of our school and potential areas for improvement. We have two parent/guardian positions that will be open for next year. Terms for the positions are for two years. Expectations include championing our efforts, attending a monthly SAC meeting, and being prepared to contribute your thoughts and opinions about our overall school program as well as those of the community at large.

Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) supports Pine Lane tremendously and in so many facets. We are so grateful for their impact. You may not be aware but all families and staff are part of the PTO. This parent-led group helps facilitate Fall Festival, Kid’s Night Out, Winterfest, and other community events. They also help raise funds to support various efforts. Our latest example is the turf on the playground at South. This was such a huge facelift to our landscape. Our Executive Board is comprised of four parents/guardians and staff from both our North and South buildings. We have two parent/guardian executive board positions that will be available for next year.

Lastly, I would like to remind you all that our next SAC Meeting will be next Wednesday at 4:45 pm in the North Campus Library. We will stream utilizing Google meets. Linked here is our agenda: 2023.2.13 SAC - Meeting Agenda.

We have also scheduled a PTO meeting for April 14th at 7 pm. This will be coupled with a Family Movie Night. We are looking to change the format of our PTO meetings in order to better communicate, gain feedback from diverse voices, and recruit help for our various initiatives. We hope that you all can make it out that night.
