Communication Sent to Families

Dear Pine Lane 6
th Grade Families,

The results of the survey are in and the majority of the families wanted to participate in the Hybrid option of 1 day at Stone Canyon and 1 day at PLE.   However, families that only want the 1-day option at PLE will still be allowed to choose that option.

In order for us to have four consecutive days, we did need to change our dates from April to May 17th – 20th.

SAVE THE DATE:  Virtual Parent Information Night

  • Weds March 31st
  • 6:30 PM
  • Information to join will be sent at a later date.
  • This presentation will be recorded and made available on our PLUM website.

  • PLUM Dates are May 17th - 20th
    • Days Stone Canyon will come to Pine Lane
      • Monday May 17th – Montgomery / Schneider
      • Tuesday May 18th – Wellen / Kawamura
    • Days Students will need to be dropped off at Stone Canyon
      • Drop off time at Stone Canyon 8:30am
      • Pick Up Time at Stone Canyon 7:00pm
        • Wednesday May 19th - Montgomery / Schneider
        • Thursday May 20th  - Wellen / Kawamura

In order for us to remain at capacity levels, only 50 students a day will be allowed to participate so our Pine Lane students will be divided into two Co-Horts.

  • Montgomery / Schneider will participate Monday and Wednesday
  • Wellen / Kawamura will participate Tuesday and Thursday

As a reminder, it is the Parent's responsibility to arrange transportation for students the days students are participating at Stone Canyon Outdoor Edventures

  • Registration is very simple this year and no payment is due at time of registration.
  • Please register here (Stone Canyon Waiver) by April 1st  so that we can begin to plan accordingly.

Please note we will be unable to accept late registrations!  However, if you student is unable to attend after registration and/or payment have been completed due to an illness or quarantine you will receive a full refund of any money you have paid.

Since we have the opportunity to offer both the 2-day and 1-day, please select your payment option carefully to ensure you are paying for the option you want your student to participate in.

All the King Soopers Card revenue we have received over the last 18 months is allowing us to provide Scholarships to all students for $50.00 each.  If you have been participating in the King Sooper Reward program and believe your scholarship should be more, please submit your quarterly earnings statements here

  • 2 day option:  $124.00
    • King Sooper Scholarship:    $50.00
    • Total Payment for families:  $74.00
  • 1 day option at PLE:  $55.00
    • King Sooper Scholarship:  $50.00

Jaunary 14th, 2021
PLE 6th Grade Families,
We are excited to bring a Modified PLUM experience (outdoor education) to our 6th grade students.  We need your help to determine our next steps, and your decision on how your student participates needs to be determined at this point.  The only reason for a change as we move closer to the date will be because of unforeseen circumstances.   IE Student is sick, quarantined,  state levels have changed etc.
We are currently looking at a 2 day event:
  • 1 Day at Stone Canyon Edventures (8:30am - 7:15pm)
  • 1 Day at PLE
The biggest factor in planning  the 1 full day (not overnight) at Stone Canyon is that parents will need to be able to drop off and pick up students at Stone Canyon in Larkspur.
Please READ thoroughly and fill out this form by Monday 1/18 so we know how to move forward.  We do need a response from ALL our students to ensure we are planning appropriately. There are only 5 quick questions.
Detail Information will be sent out in the next couple weeks along with a video presentation from Stone Canyon, once we are able to firm up our programming needs and dates.
We appreciate your patience as we try to make this event for our 6th graders a reality.
