Happy Spring Break Pine Lane Crew!
Wow! Such a busy week with so many celebrations! Our Library and STEM program received more the $4000 in grants from the Foundation for Douglas County Schools! Thank you, Ms. Kinner and Ms. Neubecker, for writing those grant proposals! It was also great to have all the STEM projects displayed this week, truly a great display of excellence in achievement. Our 4th grade also sought to contribute to a better world by raising money for cancer research through their Lemonade stand. Our Orchestra had an incredible performance with the Chap Feeder on Wednesday. It was amazing to see all of their progress from the Fall. Also, a huge thank you to PTO for feeding our staff over Parent/Teacher Conferences. We are so grateful!
4th quarter will be busy too. We are currently working to gather parent/guardian feedback to use for our 2023-24 class placement process. Please complete the following form indicating your intentions for next year and offering any input you would like us to consider for your child and children as we build classes: 2023-24 Intent to Return/Parent Input Form. As we come back from Spring Break our 3rd through 6th-grade students will be taking CMAS from March 27th - 29th. Wish Week for the Chaparral Feeder will start with a kick-off assembly on March 31st and all of the feeder events will occur the following week. We love being a part of this effort as it reminds us of Crew and aligns so well with our goal to contribute to a better world. On March 31st, we will also hold our Kid’s Night Out. All profits from that event will go toward Wish Week Fundraising.
Our PTO would also like to invite you all out to a special meeting regarding the future of our PTO and how to structure the organization moving forward. This meeting will be Tuesday, March 28th at 5:30 pm in our North Campus. Please see this letter from PIne Lane PTO with more details: 2023-3-10 PTO Communication.
We are also continuing to collect nominations for our parent leadership committees. We have two open seats on our School Accountability Committee and two open seats on our PTO. If you are interested or would like to nominate someone for these roles please use the following forms: SAC Nomination Form and PTO Nomination Form. We will be closing the nomination form this weekend. Thank you for considering volunteering for these positions. We will invite all nominees to our upcoming SAC and PTO meetings.
